Specimen notes
Note:
All the Nelson material of A. genadii comes from the same collection and the photo applies to all. This does not have a rooting stipe or volva. Sequence indicates the species is in section chitonioides but is not A. genaddii and is close to sequences labelled A. pearsonii, which was originally described from South Africa and is a volvate species. This material has a strong partial vale very low on the stem, but not volvate. The gill edge does have A. pearsonii-like cystidia.
