Specimen notes
Public Note:
not a mixed collection.material sparse. Cap partially gelatinised with non-dextrinoid surafec with fingers. Without cheilocystidia. Basidia sphaeropendunculate, 4-spored. length=6.4–7.7µm (µ=7.1, σ=0.42), width=4.0–4.9µm (µ=4.4, σ=0.27), Q=1.4–1.8µm (µ=1.61, σ=0.10), n=20. This sp and 'perseverence rd' = subdebilis aff, require comparison with M. maldea. That has sterile stipes and 2 kinds of cheilos. Examined material of that MEL2293000(sequence failed) does have numerous aborted twisted stipes. The two kinds of cheilo are not easy to observe but the lanecolate pilos are and should be looked for on any putative NZ collections.
