with strong basal interveining, gill face purple, even in dry material. Clamped. This with smooth cap. length=7.4-9.4µm (µ=8.5, σ=0.50), width=3.8-4.6µm (µ=4.2, σ=0.21), Q=1.8-2.2µm (µ=2.03, σ=0.13), n=20Whakapapa has dextrinoid clamps and lower Q spores, Cragibeurn has no dextrinoid clamps (possibly) and higher Q - also yellow mycelium at base and consistently purple gills in dry material. Differences require confirmation.
