cap sticky. gills adnate. cap and trama dextrinoid. no pleurocystidia. chilocystidia ramealis. 4-spored. Pileipellis unoramented, without encrusting pigment. Spores length=5.7–10.2µm (µ=8.8, σ=0.79), width=5.2–8.8µm (µ=6.1, σ=0.68), Q=0.6–1.6µm (µ=1.46, σ=0.18), n=30. Differs from M. albidofusca microscopically. No pleurocystidia and without nodulose cap hyphae. Darker forms of this shuould be compared with M. atroincrustata sensu Segedin and Horak, without pileal encrusting pigment but with brown plasmatic pigment, which is non sensu Singer according to Garrido/Grgurinovich.
