flesh browning slightly. Frb not drying yellow except in stipe flesh. No efflorescence. Spores thick walled, without pore, small, length=4.7–5.5µm (µ=5.1, σ=0.25), width=3.3–3.9µm (µ=3.7, σ=0.15), Q=1.3–1.6µm (µ=1.40, σ=0.09), n=20. KOH negative. Schaefer negative (and both should be +ve). smell slightly fishy. Section arvenses, not Agaricus. Sequence places this near A. 'Lincoln' and A. megalocarpus Clade B. It is not A. lanatoniger. Micro details repeated and obvious pyriform cystidia found, and spores re-measured as length=5.0–5.7µm (µ=5.4, σ=0.14), width=3.2–4.1µm (µ=3.7, σ=0.26), Q=1.3–1.7µm (µ=1.47, σ=0.09), n=20
