Specimen notes
Public Note:
host is a non-spicata. When immature the teliopsores have a smooth lower cell, paler than the terminal cell. When mature the two cells are equally coloured and verrucose - at least in this material. So this character does not seem adequate for distinguishing discolor and pruni-spinosi (Henderson). For Hennen 2005 the lower cell has elongate striae, and not smooth. For Hennen 1990 pruni-spinosi has telia not in fasicles whilst discolor does. This collection also has germ pore near septum. Evidence most in favour of discolor if ignore ornamentation.
