smell like wet dog. Flesh yellow in KOH. Ring strong. Cap squamulose. Gills grey. A. porphyrocephalus has red reaction, not yellow. This looks like section Xanthodermatei but sequence in Arvenses, same as JAC9481. Kibby - cd/eh/ilop. k19, k16,k20 None of UK species. Material immature so spores rather pale and perhaps under-sized. No obvious cheilocystidia. Spores length=7.5–8.7µm (µ=8.1, σ=0.33), width=4.3–5.7µm (µ=5.0, σ=0.37), Q=1.5–1.9µm (µ=1.61, σ=0.11), n=20
