Public Note:
Cap to 10 cm, stem to 10 x 2cm. Tough and fibrous (unlike A. parasitica). Strong veil but not forming a long skirt. Stem hollow. Cap hymeniderm, without cystidia. 4-spored. spores 9um, pores 1um. Taste and smell strongly farinaceous. Browning fibrous stem seems to be typical of this.
