Specimen notes
Public Note:
fitting Laundon's description exactly. Has black shiny stromata. There are also pynidia with small baciliform spores, and then separate there are grey wet acervular bearing the crescent shaped conidia, which eventually form a white crust. I have seen a very similar fungus on Aegopodium in Ireland and Arran (JAC3034, 4874, 4876), =Phloeospora state of Mycosphaerella podagrariae (see Grove, v1, p434), and presumably this is similar to those on Aegopodium and Heracleum. Conidia to 75 x 5um. 1-septate, hyaline. Actually looks more like Microgloeum/ Phloeosporella, i.e. it does not appear to be phialidic. Would not go into culture.
