Specimen notes
Public Note:
taste bitter, KOH on cap deep red, gills yellow flurorescent when fresh (not on dried material). Cap a cutis with zebra pale encrustation, and often looped clamps. 4-spored. With chryso pleuro and cheilocystidia, appear to be very thick walled. spores thick walled, without germ pore. length=6.6–7.7µm (µ=7.1, σ=0.34), width=3.5–4.5µm (µ=3.8, σ=0.24), Q=1.6–2.0µm (µ=1.85, σ=0.10), n=20. For Noordeloos would be Hypholoma sect psilocyboides. Sequence says possibly near but not congeneric phaeonematoloma. Certainly not Pholiota ss. Gen. nov. Same as P. cerea and P. chrysmoides. Leratiomyces! Needs more genes.
