smell slightly of aniseed. Not yellow in KOH, schaeffer red after a time. See also A. oligocystis. Cystidia not seen (but single frb is quite mature). Spores length=5.0–6.0µm (µ=5.3, σ=0.26), width=3.3–4.6µm (µ=3.9, σ=0.31), Q=1.2–1.7µm (µ=1.36, σ=0.13), n=20
