Specimen notes
Public Note:
cap not heavily ornamented? Spores length=8.1–10.0µm (µ=8.9, σ=0.6), width=3.4–4.2µm (µ=3.9, σ=0.2), Q=2.1–2.6µm (µ=2.3, σ=0.2), n=11. Is in Hemimycena clade and same? (LSU) as Horak's Rickenella wellingtonensis to which it is microscopically morphologically identical (distinctive cystidia and inamyloid elongate spores - why not mentioned by Stevenson or Horak?). This is Horak's herb name for Omphalina wellingtonensis. The gills are arcuate in Horak's collection (PDD72871). ITS places the species congeneric with Mycena acicula, which is not Mycena sensu stricto, along with Horak's sense of Omphalina wellingtonensis, and is in 'Atheniellaceae'. See 13496 which has ITS same as Horak's wellingtonensis but looks different? Is LSU the same>
