Specimen notes
Public Note:
material dried brown/black with plae brown tomentum on outer surface. Asci not green in Melzers, but operculate. Spores acuminate, rough. Disc fringed with pale hairs - leucoscypha-like. 8-spored,length=21.2-24.2µm (µ=23.0, σ=1.0), width=8.6-10.4µm (µ=9.5, σ=0.5), Q=2.2-2.8µm (µ=2.4, σ=0.2), n=13. Hairs to 1mm. Paraphyses not green in iodine. Clearly the same species pictured by Clive S. has T. jafneospora spores and not J. pallida. It would be interesting to have a sequence of the latter and see if it really is different. If not then T. pallida would be the correct name.
