Specimen notes
Public Note:
Spores perhaps very weakly amyloid. Substrate showing white mycelium as patch, and with large white rhizomorphs. Cap a partially gelatinised clamped cutus. With brown plasmatic content. No ornamentation seen. No cheilocystidia seen. Spores length=4.4–5.1µm (µ=4.8, σ=0.2), width=2.4–3.2µm (µ=2.7, σ=0.3), Q=1.6–2.0µm (µ=1.8, σ=0.1), n=7. Previous observations of filiform cystidia most likley just hyphal growth. Drying black. Same as PDD72811 which Egon called Rhodocybe. ITS places in Rhizocybe part of Callistosporium/Rhizocybe/Catathelasma clade. LSU not so close to Rhizocybe. Maybe 'Pleurorhiza' gen. nov. or just Rhizocybe sp. with an emmended cicumscription.
