Specimen notes
Public Note:
with the look of an oudemansiella/mucidula. Material dried badly. 4-spored. Many spores germinating (and looking like cheilocystidia). Cap a partially gelatinised cutis, clamped, without obvious ornamentation. Subcutis with gloeoplerous-like hyphae. No tissue amyloid or dextrinoid. spores length=13.3–17.3µm (µ=15.4, σ=1.3), width=5.4–6.4µm (µ=5.9, σ=0.4), Q=2.4–2.9µm (µ=2.6, σ=0.1), n=8. Appears to be similar to Marasmius RR/572 from the Cook Islands but that with dextrioid hyphae. Sister to the main group of Campanella/Tetrapyrgos and in the group with Marasmiellus candidus. In need of a new generic name. Basal to this group is Cellypha goldbachii (a generic type), if correctly identified.
