Public Note:
The ancestral host for Golovinomyces appears to be the asteraceae. G. cynoglossi appears to be the preferred name for the PM on Myosotis (Braun). I think there must remain a question about the identity because the conidiophores seem to have evidence of fibrosin bodies - not found in Erysiphe, Golovinomyces (but present in Sawadea,Uncinula, Sphaerotheca, Cystotheca, Podosphaera - noting that E. polygoni ss is said to have sub-icron crystalline content). Other members of Boraginaceae have Phyllactinia, Uncinula., Leveilllula
