Specimen notes
Public Note:
conidia notices on numerous collections on Sophora but this is the first good collection. Their are masses of grouped conidia, perhaps indicating a Coryneum-like coelomycete. However extensive searching indiates no pycnidia and conidia seem tobe associated with short scattered condiophores, so with distoseptate conidia this makes it a Linkosia. Except the condia re much more like graminiaceous Drechslera/Coryneum. Attempted culture gave a phoma-like coleo. Discarded. Later material shows a deeply seated coelo - so a Coryneum after all [July 2011]
