new record for NZ. Pycnidia present at many sites on branches and pods. Spores length=17.5-19.8µm (µ=18.6, σ=0.8), width=9.7-11.3µm (µ=10.5, σ=0.7), Q=1.5-2.0µm (µ=1.8, σ=0.2), n=7. Microdiplodia hawaiensis is too small (and is also insufficienttly described and distinguished from existing similar taxa on Sophora). reported to MAF 15/08/2010.
