buff coloured and extensive resupinate, crumbly and not peeling, 200um thick. Margin cobwebby. With minute resinous granules (which are liquid). Surface grey then black in KOH (granules fisrt). Resin greenish grey in KOH. No reaction in NH4OH. Monomitic. 4-spored. Basidia terminal, with basal clamp. Crystals in hymenium, not clear if covering cystidia. Spores length=10.7-13.0µm (µ=11.9, σ=0.8), width=3.9-4.7µm (µ=4.2, σ=0.3), Q=2.6-3.3µm (µ=2.9, σ=0.2), n=12. Phanerochaete, but not matching carnosa, or sanguinea
