Specimen notes
Public Note:
Not T. mesenterica. Has tuning fork basidia. Clamp connections absent. Spores 3 septate. Cortical hyphae rough. Without hyphidia. Keys to dacryomitriformis (McNabb) but that stipitate. Despite absence of 7-septate spores I am placing this with D. NZ simply because of the large coalesced fruitbodies. Is spore septation really a reliable character in this group?
