Specimen notes
Public Note:
without smell, well away from tea-tree in deep moss. Spore colour snuff brown. Gills with decurrent tooth. Cap with separable gelatinous pellicle, and with white veilar remnants floating in slime. Stem with white fibrils on yellow background. KOH on cap no reaction. Cap a clamped cutis with extracellular pigment. No rhizoids. With pleuro and cheilocystidia and of different shapes. Some cheilocystidia with yellow content in water. Spores smooth, with small germ pore, thick-walled. length=8.6-10.5µm (µ=9.5, σ=0.5), width=5.4-6.3µm (µ=5.8, σ=0.2), Q=1.5-1.8µm (µ=1.6, σ=0.1), n=12. Oversized spores so perhaps 2 & 4 spored. Subgen Flammuloides-sphagnicola. Caulocytidia absent. Stem diam=2.8-4.0mm (µ=3.2, σ=0.4) No thickening of spores near germ pore seen. Seems close to P. paludosella/henningsii.
