no reaction NH4OH. Cap an unclamped cutis, with oleiferous hyphae. Spores strongly dextrinoid. hymenium slightly leucocoprioid . 4-spored, but clearly with2-spored given occasional oversize spores length=6.8–8.2µm (µ=7.4, σ=0.5), width=4.5–5.2µm (µ=4.9, σ=0.2), Q=1.4–1.7µm (µ=1.5, σ=0.1), n=13. Part of the wider rubrotinctus clade but note the real USA rubrotinctus not the same as the China version. The real version does not seem to have a geltinised calotte (and is not the type of the sections as far as I can tell).
