Public Note:
Reported to MAF 2/07/2010. 4-spored, clamped, spores length=6.8-8.3µm (µ=7.3, σ=0.4), width=4.4-5.5µm (µ=4.8, σ=0.3), Q=1.4-1.8µm (µ=1.5, σ=0.1), n=13. Possibly with amyloid spot. Spores are somewhat larger than the protologue. Sequence places this in core Leucopaxillus with L. paradoxus and L. cerealis. Peter J says "Not happy with this one. The Blast not close to anything at all - there is possibly something dodgy about the DNA? Needs checking with LSU", but actually a consequence of poor reprsentation of Leucopaxillus in genbank at that time, and paraphyly of the genus.
