Specimen notes
Public Note:
conifer plantation adjacent to dunes. Gill edge red. spores length=11.6–13.4µm (µ=12.4, σ=0.5), width=5.6–6.8µm (µ=6.2, σ=0.4), Q=1.9–2.2µm (µ=2.0, σ=0.1), n=10, utriform pleurocystidia , no green pigment in NH4OH. Gills colourless when washed free of spores. Stem rooting but not extensivley. FN - pseudogracilis, FM 2006, v7, n3. See icon in Moser Colour Atlas, not B&K. Some confusion between gracilis, corrugis and microrrhiza. Many authors have gracilis under synonymy with corrugis but available sequence data implies they are clearly separate. Some confusion is between microrrhiza and gracili, as supported by VanWaveren's paper (counting lageniform cystidia per mm of gill edge to distinguish them!). He also had corrugis close to gracilis. Clearly still some work on definitions of corrugis, gracilis, pseudogracilis and microrrhiza
