Specimen notes
Public Note:
Same as 9219 and most definitely with Q. cerris. Gills and fleash spotted brown (not yellow), some anastomosing near stem, without lamelullae, stem stuffed, cap half peeling, purple DCY in SV against pink background extremely obvious, non septate, no granules in carbolfuchsin/HCL. Gills taste mild (unlike last collection). Cap deep purple with a white bloom when young. Spores length=7.4\endash8.3µm (µ=7.9, σ=0.3), width=5.5\endash6.4µm (µ=5.7, σ=0.3), Q=1.3\endash1.4µm (µ=1.4, σ=0.1), n=8. Bon: Subgenus polychromida. FeSO4 pink, section polychromae, yellowing - melliolentinae, spores appearing weakly amyloid due to sparse, low granular encrustation, without amyloid spot. Spore print sparse but B. Sarnari also comes to melliolens/dryophila, but this doesn't smell of honey (so not former) and does have DCY/SV (so not latter). R. dryophila is known with Q. cerris.
