smell mealy, gill edge serrate, thick. Cap a partially gelatinised unclamped cutis, without vesicles, spores angular. With oleiferous hyphae in gill trama (pseudocystidia). No elements coloured in NH4OH (Gates key to Tasmanian Rhodocybe). Spores excluding apiculus length=4.3\endash5.8µm (µ=5.1, σ=0.6), width=4.1\endash4.5µm (µ=4.3, σ=0.2), Q=1.0\endash1.3µm (µ=1.2, σ=0.1), n=4. Perhaps close to pallidogrisea.
