Specimen notes
Public Note:
Gill edge and cap densely encrusted. With short lateral white stem. Cap hyphae not differentiated. Looks like gilvidus except spores subglobose (Balloon shaped) length=5.5–7.2µm (µ=6.5, σ=0.5), width=5.6–6.4µm (µ=6.0, σ=0.3), Q=1.0–1.2µm (µ=1.1, σ=0.1), n=12. Also like albino nanicus except this without crystal encrusted cheilocystidia, and they are clavate. None of Egon's taxa. Not previoulsy collected. sp. nov. ITS says this is the same as jac12942 as C. fuscus! Maybe it starts white? The sequences also fit within the range of C. malachioides which appears to be the same species and also reported with variable colour.
