Specimen notes
Public Note:
Considerably larger and more tan coloured that C. stercoreus also on same collection. With veil of smooth globose cells, without setae. Section micaceous, stirps niveus. Spores heart-shaped to hot-water bottle shaped. 9.8-10.9(10.2) SD0.3 n=10 x 9.2-10(9.7) SD0.3 n=10. Spore print black. Clearly c. cordiporus. Peter B has a culture from Auckland. Synonimised with patouillardii by some and that taxon noted by Ann Bell. The position of cordiporus seems unresolved at the moment - near some coprinellus and psathyrella. Amongst sequencs called C. patouillardii
