Public Note:
Sporocarp secotioid, epigeous. Pileus 25-35 mm diameter, subglobose to parabolic/campanulate with deeply incurved margin., smooth, dark violet. Hymenophore loculate, chambers 1-2mm, ellipsoid, with pale trammal plates and sienna spore deposit. Gleba firmly attached to stipe for entire length, exposed surface covered in a thin white veil. Stipe central, 45-90 mm tall, 8-13 mm thick, equal, stuffed. Surface longitudinally striate with coarse fibres, pale lavender. Context generally concolorous, white at the base, darkening towards apex. Cortina sparse, occasional pale cottony remnants on stem base. Taste and smell not recorded. Basidiospores sienna in mass, oblong, length=14.6-19.2µm (µ=17.0, σ=1.06), width=8.9-10.5µm (µ=9.6, σ=0.38), Q=1.5-2.0µm (µ=1.77, σ=0.11), n=30, smooth or finely asperulate. Basidia clavate, four sterigmata, clamp connections present, hyaline, clavate to cylindrical, 34-43 × 10-15 µm (mean 39.6 × 12.6 µm). Sterigmata up to 5 µm long. Cystidia not observed. Pileipellis a single thin epicutis, to 100um deep, of irregular, loosely arranged, branched thin-walled, hyaline clamped hyphae to 4um diam. Context of hyaline refractive-walled hyphae to 20um diam.Stipitipellis a uniform cutis of clamped hyaline hyphae to 10um diam., without epimembranous pigment.
