Specimen notes
Public Note:
ITS a good match to Western Australian specimens identified as D. cf. albus (Francis 2006, PhD Thesis Murdoch University, Phylogeny of cortinarioid sequestrate fungi)
P.R. Johnston
Public Note:
There are currently 3 different taxa with sequences labelled D. alba. This with peridium covered in golden tomentum. Spores length=19.7-28.8µm (µ=24.2, σ=2.08), width=9.6-13.5µm (µ=11.8, σ=0.91), Q=1.8-2.4µm (µ=2.06, σ=0.16), n=20. The sub-peridium does contain cystoderm-like elements, unlike other similar species examined.
