Specimen notes
Public Note:
Apothecia densely clustered, stipes often branched, dark receptacle covered with dense, almost felted layer of fine, white hairs. Excipulum of short-cylindric, dark-walled, agglutinated cells. Asci 40-47 x 5-5.5 µm, cylindric, wall slightly thickened at apex, pore tiny but intensely J+ blue, 8-spored. Ascospores about 5.5.-7.5 x 2 µm, oblong-ellitpic, 0-septate, hyaline. Paraphyses 1.5 µm, undiff to apex, about same length as asci. PDD 99166 is the same species.
