Specimen notes
Public Note:
PL] cap convex, sub umbonate, edge striate, purplish date at centre, leaden grey at edge. Cap diam 20mm. Stipe glabrous to shiny, equal, insiticious, vinaceous buff, 25x3mm. Lamellae sinnuate, grey, leaden grey, intercalated in 2 rows. Edge lighter. Spores white, amyloid 8-10 x 6-7. Cheilocystidia lageniform with irregular ends. [JAC] single frb, dried grey and still with paler gill edge. Does not look prunulus-like. This has cheilo spanning P. 'craigieburn' to M. miriamae, and perhaps provides a link between the two. This has band of parallel hyphe next to gill edge. spores length=7.3–8.7µm (µ=8.0, σ=0.46), width=4.6–5.5µm (µ=5.1, σ=0.32), Q=1.5–1.7µm (µ=1.57, σ=0.09), n=7. The type of M. miriamae has different spores and cystidia, and associated with pine plantation (and possibly = M. stiptata). Sequence says rangitaiki cf but we still don't have a photo
