Specimen notes
Public Note:
Collection dried badly. cap sticky. No taste. Spore print white - no hint of pink (Lepista). Spores amyloid, warted, with distinct plage, warts rubbing off. For Egon the presence of the plage distinguishes Melanoleuca from Leucopaxillus, for Grgurinovich & Velinga Leucopaxillus has clamps and Melanoleuca doesn't. This unclamped and with pleurocystidia with crystals. Cap tissue has oleiferous hyphae and conidiomata?! It doesn't look like a parasitic infection. Spores 8.9-9.9(9.3) SD0.4 n=12 x 5.9-6.5(6.2) SD0.2 n=13. BFF leads to excisa but for FAN that with relatively wide base at septum of cystida neck and a median spot - this has neither. Certainly not the same as the last collection I called M. excissa - but keep them together for the moment.
