Specimen notes
Public Note:
with cottony ring, stem base thicking and drying black. Looking like a Tubaria but with calyptrate rough spores and plage. 2 & 4-spored. Pleurocystidia absent. Cheilocystidia vesiculose (but a few tibiform ones around). Clamped. Spores not dextrinoid. Spores 8.1-9.6(8.7) SD0.6 n=11 x 5.6-6.2(5.9) SD0.3 n=6. praticola/pseudomycenopsis/unicolor . This has to be Gulden's sense of unicolor with combination of ring and calyptrate spores - even if cheilocystidia are different and I can't see a pore (or something new and close). Also close to Watlings sense of praticolor but that without persipore. Not convinced by Fuhrer's version of unicolor on wood. See also records as G. marginata. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010
