Specimen notes
Public Note:
yellow. cap and stem sticky. Gills arcuate-decurrent. Although not checked when fresh the gill edge microscopically has an obvious gelatinous boundary. Seems to be 2 & 4 spored basidia. Some spores seem unaturally long on sterigma - perhaps a parasite rather than dimorphic spores? Not a hetero tho - not cruciate. Spores 8.9-11(9.9) SD0.7 n=11 x 5.1-6.4(5.7) SD0.4 n=11. Spores too big for sulfureus and luteoglutinosus without gill edge feature - although look remarkable macroscopically similar.
