Specimen notes
Public Note:
cap 6cm, stem 1 x 7cm, enlarged at base. Flesh white. Ring thin, grey/violet. Cap surface smooth purplish chestnut, with closely adpressed fibres. Smell and taste mild. Cap a cutis, unclamped. Spores do seem to have a cap that shows up in immature spores as being more dextrinoid. Cheilocystidia with thickened apex and occasional covering material and small crystals. No tissue metachromatic. Spores 6.8-7.6(7.3)x3.7-4.3(4.0). Same as 10061? Really a Leucoagaricus - except spores are not metachromatic. length=6.9–8.3µm (µ=7.4, σ=0.44), width=3.7–4.6µm (µ=4.1, σ=0.25), Q=1.6–2.0µm (µ=1.81, σ=0.12), n=14
