Public Note:
no clamp at base of basidium, present on hyphae and base of (long) stalk, with surface layer of hyphidia mixed with basidia, gloeocystidia absent, ampulliferous hyphae absent. Drying horny, hyaline. Spores 12.2-15.2(13.5) SD0.9 n=7 x 4.1-5(4.6) SD0.4 n=7. NB no Tremella have allantoid spores. This would have been myxarium until Roberts dismantled the genus and non-effuse taxa such as this returned to Exidia. Close to E. nucleata but without the nodules. If E., nucleata is accepted as including non nodule forms then this is E. nucleata.
