Specimen notes
Public Note:
from streamside log. [JAC] No signe of 'bulbils'. M. mucida seems to have a blunt apex in most images overseas and is consistently described as clavate. This very much like image of Multiclavula sp. in Am J Bot 2007, v94, p1289. M. corynoides is attenuated at the apex (and sometimes branched acc NM3). For Galloway 2007 corynoides is lacerate or lobed and pale yellowish to pinkish or ochre. For Petersen, 1988, M. mucida has variable morphology. D. Hurdle's image in Galloway 2007 has pointed apices. Leave as M. mucida - in a broad NZ sense!
