4-spored, without chrysocystidia, with pleurocystidia. Spores 8.8-9.5(9.1) SD0.3 n=10 x 5-5.7(5.4) SD0.2 n=10. With yellow rhizoids. NB the rhzoids on these pholiota species need checking to make sure there aren't acanthocysts - characteristic of Stropharia.
