pale grey with violaceous gills (but cap drying white and gills showing spores with a distint reddish/brown colour). 4-spored, spores thick-walled, smooth, with germ pore 9-10.6(9.5) SD0.5 n=13 x 6.4-7.3(6.8) SD0.3 n=17.. Cap tissue clamped, not noticeably gelatinised?
