Specimen notes
Public Note:
Arising from a white basal velvety socket, and with hairs on cap. Cap a loose trichoderm. Trama with some broad hyphae weakly dextrinoid. Cheilocystidia hair-like. Spores lacrymoid 14-16x5-8um. 4-spored. Cap hyphae terminally diverticulate. Same as 9874, 9207, 10168, 10399 (and 9808?). Comes to Singer's section stenophyllides but no Marasmiellus species have arise from cushions and leave a basal tomentum/socket (a socle). This is Egon's 'Delicatula' ZT67-210. Delicatula has no cheilocystidia and has 'wispy' veil when young. The socle in this taxon perhaps could be described as a veil and perhaps the hairs aren't really cheilocystidia. But Delicatula has amyloid spores - and this doesn't have them (did ZT67-210?). Closer to Campanella but not tristis/dorotheae (even in Stevenson's original 'Resupinatus' sense rather than Segedin or Horak's interpretation). Note that Kumar, in a discussion of Trogia, mentions a socle in that genus (T. infundibuliformis)
