Public Note:
Drying dark brown. Spore print dark brown - fuscous. With a strong cortina and stem slightly eccentric. Cap cellular. Pleurocystidia thick walled (1-2um), some encrusted and pale yellow/tan (in KOH and melzers) 11x35um. Spores with germ pore 6x3.5um. Cheilocystidia thin-walled, balloon-shaped, with yellow resin around base. Not Australian P. echinata but defintely Singer's homophron-cystidiosa - KVW's section Spadiceae. Close to P. hesleri & cloverae/olympiana microscopically - but neither.
