Specimen notes
Public Note:
Dried scarlet. Basal hairs red/hyaline - not brown. Gill edge red. Spores amyloid 8x5.5um. Cheilocystidia with branched apices, but also has hyphae parallel to gill edge with excrescences. These and branched apices to acuminate cheilocystidia seem main microscopic difference to M. mariae. Pleurocystidia not seen. I'm really not convinced this is different to M. toyerlaricola.
