Specimen notes
Public Note:
A white rotter. Dried gills are buff-sienna colour. Dried material very brittle. Cap a gelatinised cutis, with amorphous crystal clumps and glassy-walled clamped hyphae. With nodulose excrescences but difficult to see. No tissue amyloid or dextrinid (spores possibly weakly amyloid). Trama and pellis partially gelatinised. 4-spored 5x3.5um thin-walled, broadly ellipsoid. Some gills (obvious by white edge) have long irregular filiform cheilocystidia. Spores, excluding apiculus length=4.3-5.3µm (µ=4.9, σ=0.26), width=3.3-4.4µm (µ=3.7, σ=0.24), Q=1.1-1.5µm (µ=1.34, σ=0.09), n=20. This is not C. albida (Fr) Konrad. and does agree with examination of Stevenson's Type
