Public Note:
Collected as a Mycena. Cap not peeling, no thread, cap sticky, stem base strigose, gills descending, stem not sticky. Not Hygrocybe primulina=sulphurea however can't find awl-shaped cheilocystidia and no tissue dextrinoid and spores not amyloid, 4-spored, 6x3.5um, some glued together, basidia 25x7um, cap tissue gelatinised, clamps not seen. The contrasting white gills are distinctive. Can't find anything in Egon's papers. His image of 'Hygrocybe minima' looks close (must be a nom. prov.) Trama sub-regular, cells short <15um. Not H. ceracea which Pat has recorded - spores not correct. requires sequence
