Specimen notes
Public Note:
With chocolate coloured spores and yellow rhizoids. Clamped. With pleuro and cheilocystidia. Cap a loose cutis of clamped hyphae with zebra extra-cellular pigment, embedded in a gelatinous matrix. Spores with minute germ pore (and paler at apiculus) 9x5um. 4-spored. Contents of cystidia not yellowing in KOH. Gills broadly attached. Despite lack of obvious chrysocystidia I'd say this was a small pholiota - like the galerina look-alike Pholiota. See 8976 and Karl's chrysmoides (with red/brown fibrils at stem base), and squarrusoides..
