Specimen notes
Public Note:
grey/brown cap, with pellicle, fimbriate white basal disk, stem silky striate, no detected smell. Cap to 4mm, stem to 1.3cm. Stipe dextrinoid, caulocystidia not observed. Spores inamyloid (?). Pileus hyphae with minute ornamentation, cheilocystidia stags-horn like, no pleurocystidia. spores length=9.2–12.0µm (µ=9.8, σ=0.91), width=4.5–5.1µm (µ=4.8, σ=0.25), Q=1.8–2.4µm (µ=2.06, σ=0.15), n=9. Note that Mt Grey has amyloid spores and M. bulbosa inamyloid. Descriptions of this in Europe lit with amyloid spores seem to be in error. Notes this is the type of Pseudomycena which may need reviving for a distinct clade.
