spores 8x2.5um, ascus tip blue in melzers, excipulum with lobate cells. Spores not big enough for C. populina which is known on this host and many others. Not Discinella. Calycellina has dark band of tissue at base of stalk - and this doesn't seem to, so maybe not a Calycellina.
