Specimen notes
Public Note:
gill edge brown, flesh brown on cutting (but not orange). Cap covering filamentous, spores 9.6-11.2(10.5)x6.9-8.1(7.6), Q=1.32-1.41(1.37) with truncate germ-pore to 3um (immediately failing vellinga Oz key in ASM16), cheilocystida globose-vesiculose to 20um diam. no clamps at base. Notes added March 2008: with basal bulb but not marginate. Ring vaguely double, but lower due to felty patch, which isn't fimbriate at margin (28.1)x(19.1), Q=(1.47) (like 9281). Cap is definitely filamentous (unlike 9281). Cheilocystidia and basidia are clamped at base (identical to 9281). Whatever the real name for this, it is the same as 9281 (even tho it has filamentous cap and bulbous base) but not the same as 8835. Vellinga thinks this is rhacodes 'because of sphaeropedunculate cheilocystidia' but it has brown patch under ring!
