Public Note:
Very pronounced smell (of stale garlic ?); singly; height: maximum 12 cm; pileus: to 5 cm diam. planoconvex, plane or with slight convexity over stipe, margin tending to split radially. Surface with thin sticky layer, shining. Central umbo dark grey brwon under the jelly and with radiating anastomosing grey brown fibrils spreading and fading outwards to a silvery whtie margin. Some tendency to anastomosing folds near umbo. Flesh mid grey; stipe: 6-8 mm near gills, white and lavender blue striate above cortina trace, whitish with some fawn below cortina, generally silvery appearance. Flesh fibrous, hollow, lavender near gills, fawn to pale red brown below; gills: sinuately adnexed, shallow, reddish brown, long and short.
